The Dyane started life in 1967 with narrow painted bumpers which were later upgraded in 1974 to stainless steel examples to continue throughout manufacture until the car ceased production in 1982.

This rear bumper, much wider (11 cm deep) than originally fitted, is attached to the rear chassis legs by two model specific curved metal brackets. This unique design (as reproduced by SPOG) lifts the bumper up to sit appropriately just below the rear-lights.
