Thanks Derek. When I blow down the pipe between the carb and pump I can hear gurgling but I presume that’s just air blowing through the pump

Just an update on this. Replaced the fuel pump, filter and rubber hoses yesterday. Still no fuel getting to the carb, dropped the tank replaced the runner piece connected to the tank, still no fuel getting to the carb. I’m stumped

Great responses, thanks very much. I’ll definitely be fitting the spacer block, I noticed there was no gasket on the old pump but just thought it had been missed off. I would have bought the studs but they were out of stock unfortunately.
