In response to popular demand, the fourth Cheshire Dragons Carrog Camp will be held on 14/15/16th July 2017 (hopefully no snow this time!). Come and help us celebrate Bastille Day with the French theme running throughout the weekend starting with free food on the Friday. For Saturday's evening meal there is optional French themed fancy dress at the Grouse Inn.  There are also runs out into scenic North Wales. Book directly with the Station Campsite (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and let Ian and Catherine Beardshaw know you are coming (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or 07740041037 after 13th June.

We have now finalised the programme as follows:

Friday 14th July

- arrive at the Station Campsite

- free food with a French theme served from 7.30 pm

Saturday 15th July, a choice of :

-  convoy drive to the Great Orme, Llandudno for lunch, (leaving Carrog at 11 am), visiting Conway on the way back and then through Betws Coed back to Carrog or ......

- train to Llangollen to sample the delights of the railway station, river, local shops and drinking venues then .....

- Wood fired Pizza man on site from 6.30 - 8pm for our evening meal, everyone to dress in French themed fancy dress (prize for the best fancy dress)

- music, Boules and carousing until late, either on site or in the local pub

Sunday 16th July,

- the club raffle and award for Best Car at 10.30am and then a choice of:

- train to Llangollen as above or .....

- convoy drive to the Ponderosa Cafe, beloved of bikers everywhere, to sample their famous meat pie for lunch

Of course you may want to do your own thing, anything is allowed! There is food at the local pub on Saturday night,  but two of our members camped at the camp site last weekend and it was incredibly busy with a two hour wait for food at the pub so we thought we would get the Pizza man in. As it's a first for us, could you let me know whether you would like a Pizza on Saturday night so I can give him some rough numbers? The prices are around £7 a pizza and they do things like garlic bread as well.

As usual, bring your own cutlery, glasses and drink and we will see you next week.
